Christine and Alan had the MOST. ROMANTIC. WEDDING. EVER.
Seriously. A secluded beach, with only their parents and closest friends, waves crashing in the background, saying their heartfelt vows against the backdrop of a perfect sunset… does it GET any more romantic than that? I really don’t think so. And I got to see it!
Upon arriving at the resort in Costa Rica, I knew it was a special kind of couple who could have asked me to come there for their wedding - and I was definitely right! Christine and Alan are cool and fun and goofy and sweet and so very laid back - a remote beach set beside the Costa Rican jungle was just the perfect spot for them to tie the knot. I must have remarked to Phil about a thousand times what an amazing location they had chosen. Their ceremony was so intimate and personal, not only did I feel incredibly blessed to have been a part of their day - but blessed to have gotten a chance to get to know them.
After the ceremony we had a few minutes to play around on the beach, and these two got to show off their supermodel skills. I mean seriously, LOOK at them. Hot hot hot! I winced when Christine’s gorgeous dress met with a wave (we were doing a Trash the Dress session the next day with a different dress, but I knew she’d planned to try to keep her actual wedding dress clean) but in her post-wedding glow she just shrugged it off - and said “oh well!” I think that “oh well” was WELL worth it - as we got some absolutely amazing pictures of the two of them in the surf.
I honestly don’t think this awesome couple could have asked for a better day. The bumps in the road (yeah… there was a little rain, talk of moving the ceremony - all water under the bridge now!) made their day that much sweeter in the end, when everything came together just perfectly.
Guys - CONGRATULATIONS! I hope you’re having a blast trekking around Costa Rica

When Robin emailed me to ask if I was available to shoot a wedding at Compass Point in The Bahamas, I immediately crossed my fingers, checked my calendar and prayed to all the gods out there that I was. You see, Compass Point is my most favorite place in the whole world (and where my husband and I got married last year!) and I jump at any chance to go there. Plus, ANY couple who chooses to get married at Compass Point is automatically a friend of mine, and I knew I’d have a great time working with Robin and Scott.
Well, the stars were aligned and I was available - and Robin and Scott were amazing to work with! I have never met a more laid back couple in my life (Robin spent the day of her wedding shopping in town and hanging out by the pool with her mom and her friends - she didn’t even start getting ready for her 6:30 ceremony until after 4 pm!). Their attitude was shared by all of their guests, who clearly enjoyed the touching ceremony, and the reception dinner under the stars - all wonderful, fun people who were simply a blast to be around.
Scott also wins the award for being the groom most enamored with his bride. He commented many times over how beautiful Robin was, how great she looked that day, and what a lucky man he was to have her as his wife. So so so sweet
I actually think they’re both pretty lucky - Robin and Scott are both awesome people, who care deeply for each other and for their loved ones. I think being surrounded by that love is a great way to start a marriage
Congrats you guys!

If you don’t already know Megan and Josh and their family and friends, well - you need to seek them out and meet them. I don’t know if I’ve ever met such sweet and welcoming people in my life! It was an absolute pleasure to be with them on their wedding day, and experience the celebration with their guests.
Meg and Josh picked Moon Palace in Cancun, Mexico as the location for their destination wedding - and what a gorgeous setting! The weather gods were smiling on them, and their wedding day was a perfect sunny day with a slight breeze, just enough to cool people down during the dancing (and ooooh yes there was dancing, Megan and her girls can break it down!). The wedding was gorgeous and filled with personal touches, from the monogrammed aisle runner, to the welcome bags that each guest received, to the handmade place cards.
Really, I could go on and on, but what it comes down to is that it was a perfectly beautiful day for a perfectly beautiful couple. I was overjoyed to be able to be a part of it. Meg and Josh - congratulations! I hope we cross paths again soon
(Ooooh, and stay tuned for their very sexy day after pictures - this is one hoooooot couple!)
