I met up with Rebecca and Scott yesterday to do their engagement shoot in Meridian Hill Park, in Washington DC. I had no idea this park even existed, but since they used to live in the area they knew it would be a great place for their pictures. They were right!
Rebecca and Scott are having what is sure to be a beautiful winter wedding, in her hometown in New Jersey. I wish them lots of love and luck in their new life together!
The morning after their wedding Melissa, Jacob and I set off to capture some sexy and romantic pictures of them in paradise. Since the resort has beautiful amenities and areas, we didn’t have to work hard to find some very cool places for shots - plus, being newlyweds they didn’t have to work hard to show off how happy and in love they are

I just returned from Aventura Spa Palace in Riveria Maya, Mexico, where my husband and I attended the wedding of our dear friends Melissa and Jacob. Now, you all know I’m the girl who loves weddings - and a friends wedding, well that just can’t be beat. I of course cried my way through their beautiful and touching ceremony, and had a wonderful time celebrating with them and their other friends and family at their reception. Melissa and Jacob had an absolutely wonderful day filled with love and laughter and unique touches… oh, and a few songs about Texas

Last week I had the opportunity to second shoot with the very talented and very fun Allison Britton (http://www.abrittonphotography.com/) at Jo and Simon’s wedding in Woodstock, Virginia. Jo and Simon are pretty talented themselves - I believe between the two of them they have two PhDs, an olympic-sized talent in archery (her) and a very refined taste in music (him). They are also pretty snappy dancers I had a great time with Jo and Simon’s friends and family - many of them came from England to celebrate! If you’re looking for some R&R in NoVA, check out their location, The River’d Inn (www.riverdinn.com) - so beautiful and quiet, I even saw some deer running through the ceremony location just hours before the event.
Big congrats to Jo and Simon, their day was beautiful and they’re sure to have a wonderful life together. And huge thanks to Allison - I look forward to shooting with her again!
